Brilliant save to deny Jed Wallace, a key moment so early in the game. Produced routine saves from Matt Smith and Troy Parrott in the second half.

NATHAN BYRNE 6

Constantly involved down the right in the first half, better and more effective for the team when he gets his head up and looks forward. Important defensive header as Millwall searched for an equaliser.

CRAIG FORSYTH 7

Solid performance at left-back and a delicious cross that led to Derby taking the lead.

KRYSTIAN BIELIK 7

Looking comfortable in a controlling role in midfield, saw plenty of the ball and showed a good passing range. He can see a pass.

MATT CLARKE 6

Shaky moments defensively in the opening stages, his dithering gave Millwall an early chance, but he settled. Played his part in a welcome clean sheet.

CURTIS DAVIES 7.5

Strong, important defending against big Matt Smith at the back post in the closing stages of the first half. Stood up well in a bruising battle with Millwall’s centre forward. He will be counting his bruises but smiling.

GRAEME SHINNIE 6

You need a Shinnie-type player in games at Millwall. Busy, tenacious. Picked up a yellow card after 34 minutes, so had to be careful at times.

JASON KNIGHT 6

Full of running but his runs were not always spotted by teammates. But he was in the box to smash Derby ahead after 69 minutes.

DUANE HOLMES 4

Overlooked a really good opportunity to get a shot away in the first half after smart work by Jozwiak and Kazim-Richards. Holmes was in really good positions three times in the first half but his end product/quality let him down.

KAMIL JOZWIAK 7

Lively on the ball, showed awareness, outlet on the left. It was a good contest with Millwall’s Mahlon Romeo, who likes to get forward, and this offered an avenue for Jozwiak.

COLIN KAZIM-RICHARDS 6

Starved of service in the first half. Quieter than of late but occupied Millwall’s central defenders and displayed experience and cleverness as the focal point of the attack when involved.
