Drivers given penalty points for speeding

THE following drivers had their licences endorsed with penalty points by Derbyshire magistrates for speeding.

■ Peter Bates, 71, of Cardigan Street, Chaddesden, was fined £440 and given six points for speeding at 38mph in a 30mph limit in Osmaston Road, Derby, and for driving with a revoked licence, both on May 9.

■ Michael Kelly, 56, of Forest Edge Way, Burton, was fined £55 and given three points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Woodland Road, Stanton, on May 6.

■ Anthony Mills, 36, of Cumberland Road, Burton, was fined £220 and given three points for speeding at 37mph in a 30mph limit in Woodland Road, Stanton, on May 8.

■ Craig Pitcaithly, 41, of Midland Road, Swadlincote, was fined £40 and given three points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Woodland Road, Stanton, on May 10.

■ Shaun Rafferty, 50, of Uttoxeter New Road, Derby, was fined £40 and given three points for speeding at 38mph in a 30mph limit in Woodland Road, Stanton, on May 5.

■ Samuel Ravenhill, 26, of Field Close, Borrowash, was fined £540 and given six points for speeding at 78mph in a 50mph limit on the M1 at Breaston, on May 10.

■ Ashraf Mohammed, 41, of Chellaston Road, Derby, was fined £146 and given three points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in London Road, Derby, on December 29, 2019.

■ Max Mix Mozart, 26, of Dock Street, Leeds, was fined £120 and given six points for speeding at 87mph in a 50mph limit on the M1 at Tibshelf on August 26, 2019.

■ Philippa Murphy, 29, of Tunnel Close, Woodville, was fined £40 and given three points for speeding in a 30mph limit in Hillside Road, Linton, on April 30, 2018.

■ Hoshir Mustafa, 40, of Blackpool Street, Burton, was fined £40 and given three points for speeding at 62mph in a 50mph limit on the M1 at Duckmanton on March 2.

■ David Parr, 68, of Digby Street, Ilkeston, was fined £40 and was ordered to pay £85 costs, a given three points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Longmoor Lane, Sandiacre, on January 23.

■ Adrian Piggott, 46, of Birch Avenue, Ambergate, was fined £40 and given three points for speeding at more than the 50mph limit on the A537/A54 in Wildboarclough, Cheshire, on May 10, 2018.

■ William Goae, 38, of High Street, Woodville, was fined £134 and given three points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Springfield Road, Midway, on March 4.
