Pair face trial after denying street assault

-

TWO men have denied being involved in a serious assault.

Atanas Bardukov and Krasimir Borisov were charged after a man was found seriously injured in Uxbridge Street, Burton, just after 5am on Tuesday, March 16.

Bardukov, 35, of Almond Street, Derby, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm and assault causing actual bodily harm.

Borisov, 31, previously of Napier Street, Burton, was also charged with causing grievous bodily harm and assault causing actual bodily harm.

The pair have now appeared at Stafford Crown Court, where they denied all charges.

They are due to return to the court on September 6 to stand trial. The trial is expected to last for four days.

They both answer condition bail to live and sleep at their addresses, not to enter Burton and to report to their local police stations twice a day.

An 18-year-old from Derby, who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, has been released on police bail with conditions.
