Phoenix keen to build on outlet success

DERBYSHIRE brickwork, scaffoldin­g and drywall business Phoenix Brickwork has completed a £1.15 million contract at the new £160 million McArthurGl­en shopping outlet, in Cannock.

Phoenix provided brickwork and blockwork services, creating shopfronts, retaining walls and security features for main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland.

The new shopping outlet opened last week and has 80 outlets for brands including Kurt Geiger, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Ted Baker as well as Haribo, Starbucks and Five Guys.

Duerden said the project was a step-up for Phoenix. He said: “We are thrilled to have contribute­d to the completion of such an exciting new retail destinatio­n for the Midlands, ensuring it is ready in time for its opening as lockdown restrictio­ns ease and the public returns to safe retail spaces.”
