Investigation into ‘sex attack’
POLICE are investigating reports a woman was sexually assaulted in Derby in the early hours of Sunday.
Officers say the incident is thought to have taken place in Iron Gate, between 2am and 2.30am.
Police say they want to speak to anyone in the area at the time who may have noticed anything suspicious.
Det Insp Brian Bilby said: “We understand that reports of this nature are concerning, and I would like to reassure the public that we are thoroughly investigating the incident, and as part of our enquiries we would like to hear from anyone who was in the Irongate area around that time.
“At this time we believe the incident to be isolated, as we have not received any similar reports of this nature in the area.”
