Jay Blades, right, has opened his own workshop in Bradford, where woodworkers and furniture makers create bespoke items to thank deserving community members.

It’s the Marks and Spencer of workshops. He says: “This is no ordinary workshop. This place changes lives. It’s a big statement, but that’s how I feel about it.”
