titled Betley Drift Mine which included a branch line terminus station with a narrow gauge mining railway alongside – and all
small enough to be stowed under the bed in the spare bedroom.
Visiting the Famous Trains Model Railway building – which is next to Markeaton Park’s main (south) car park – is listed as one of the top things to do in Derby by Tripadvisor.
It’s open to the public every Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 11am to 4pm.
Entrance is £2.50 for adults; £1 for children; and a family (up to two adults with children) is £5.
