Teens’ double robbery bid

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after two attempted robberies on boys in Rolleston on Dove.

Two teenagers aged 15 or 16 are thought to be behind two separate incidents in Marston Lane on Thursday, July 22.

The first took place at around 4.15pm when a 14-year-old boy was told to hand over his bike. A man was in the area at the time and officers would like to speak to him.

Then at around 5.40pm a 12-year-old boy was told to hand over his phone. Police want to speak to a group of teenage boys in the area at the time.

On both occasions the youths did not make off with anything but one of them had what is thought to be a knife.
