CCTV appeal after pair say they were hit with road sign

CCTV images of three men have been released after an alleged assault in a Derbyshire town.

Officers from Derbyshire police want to speak to the three men pictured above after they received a complaint that two people had allegedly been attacked in Chesterfie­ld.

It is claimed that in the incident, which took place at around 7am on Sunday, August 1, a man and a woman were hit with a road sign and kicked.

Police say the pair, who are both in their 30s, were injured in the incident, although their wounds are not thought to be serious.

Derbyshire police has released the pictures of the three men in the hope of being able to speak with them, as it is believed they have informatio­n that can help with the investigat­ion into what happened.
