Masked gang bursts into man’s home

A MAN has been hospitalised after a masked gang burst into his home.

The victim was at his home in Tamworth Road, Sawley, when three or four men entered the property and demanded money.

Money was taken during the incident, which happened at around 9pm on Sunday, August 15, and the victim was injured and left needing hospital treatment. Police have only just released details.

The men have been described as wearing masks and police are now calling on the public to help find those responsible.

Anyone who was in the Tamworth Road and Wilne Road area of Sawley between 8.30pm and 9.15pm and has information or dashcam footage is asked to contact Det Con Matthew Watson of Derbyshire police on 101.
