Lawrence return is still a doubt

SKIPPER Tom Lawrence remains an injury doubt for Derby County’s Championship clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday at Pride Park Stadium.

Lawrence missed Derby’s win away to Hull City on Wednesday due to a groin problem and the Wales international sat out the goalless draw with Middlesbrough.

“Whether he is fit for Forest or not, I’m not sure yet,” said manager Wayne Rooney.

“I think it is one where we will probably have to inject it and then take the international break off to make sure he gets back fit but that is something I will have to make a call on at the back end of next week.

“It is disappointing for him but it has given Kamil (Jozwiak) and Sibs (Louie Sibley) an opportunity to come in.

“I think Kamil has got better in the last two games, he is getting back to his full fitness.”
