Are closed attractions part of culture city bid?

THANK you for last Wednesday’s piece about the Guildhall Theatre and your Bygones feature the following day.

Having already been closed for two and a half years, this ideal venue for local operatic and dramatic groups seems no nearer to being reopened. At the same time, the Assembly Rooms has been out of action for more than seven years.

Meanwhile, Derby is bidding to be UK City of Culture.
