BRUGMANSIA

Also known as angel’s trumpets, Brugmansia is both beautiful and dangerous.

It’s poisonous so it should be handled with care (and gloves and isn’t suitable for gardens with children or pets. Warnings aside, it is an exotic tropical wonder from South America with large, fragrant, trumpet-like flowers that hang from the branches during summer. It will only survive outdoors in summer, so grow in a pot to bring indoors to a conservatory or warm porch.

It likes lots of water, warmth, shelter and food during the flowering season. ‘Grand Marnier’ is one of the oldest cultivars, with fabulous creamy apricot blossoms.
