What is it like to be a teenager during the pandemic?

During an extremely challenging period, these 16 year olds have faced lockdowns, home study, distanced friendships and exam chaos – all while trying to figure out who they want to be. And they couldn’t even go to parties.

This observational series features personal video diaries as the Year 11 students at Dudley’s Link Academy allow cameras into their lives.

The pupils speak of their hopes and ambitions, as well as their anxiety about the consequences of such a turbulent year. Head girl Aaminah, above, says: “People are going to write exam questions about us, to pinpoint what our lives were like.”

In the first episode, students are back after six months out of school.
