Sunny holiday on the cards

-

IT is the last bank holiday before Christmas, and it looks like it is going to be a sunny one.

This weekend’s holiday looks set to bring highs of 22°C. Today should be dry with sunny spells. It will be clearer with sun and dry tomorrow, while Monday is cloudier with light winds, say the Met Office.

It should be warm by day but a bit chillier by night.

A Met Office forecaster said: “The broad theme continues through the weekend as an area of high pressure continues to be largely dominant over the UK.

“However, the influence of a weather system over Scandinavia means that temperatures aren’t reaching heatwave criteria, as this weather set up subdues the temperatures slightly from the east.”
