Two men badly hurt in car crash
TWO men were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the outskirts of Derby.
The incident happened near Stenson Fields Farm, Sinfin, at 1.20pm yesterday.
Residents reported seeing helicopters, police cars and ambulances. in the area.
A spokesman from Derbyshire Police said: “The force was called to reports of a one car collision on a track off Stenson Road.
“At the scene two men were found with serious injuries and both have been taken to hospital.
“Officers, as well as other emergency service colleagues remain at the scene and will be there for some time.”
A spokeswoman from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We got the call at 1.20pm and we had crews from Kingsway and Ascot drive attend.
“It was an RTC involving one vehicle and crews assisted with an extrication of two casualties and they were left in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service. We closed the incident at 2.23pm.”
One witness said: “I live quite close to the incident, saw loads of ambulances, with helicopters.”
