Haribo shop set to open at retail park
HARIBO is set to open a new store at a Derbyshire designer outlet village later this year.
The confectionery company is expected to arrive before Christmas at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet East Midlands.
It will be the sweet retailer’s second Midlands store and it will join Cadbury’s and Lindt confectionary stores already open at the centre in South Normanton, near Alfreton.
Centre manager David Jackson confirmed that a deal to bring the German-founded brand to the centre is set to be completed in the next few weeks.
He said: “The deal with Haribo is very, very close, we’re probably 99% there and I’m confident that we’ll have them open before Christmas.”
Haribo opened its first Midlands store at the new McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands, in Cannock, earlier this year. The shop features a pick ‘n’ mix zone and stocks a selection of Haribo favourites from around the world.
