Fines and penalty points for speeding

THE following motorists were fined and had their licences endorsed for speeding by Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court.

■■Christopher Thornton, 77, of Windley Lane, Idrigehay, was fined £660 and given three points for driving at 41mph in a 30mph limit in Belper Road, Ashbourne, on November 9, 2020.

■■Teresa Harty, 31, of Farm Close, Kilburn, was fined £220 and given three points for driving at 37mph in a 30mph limit in Kilbourne Road, Belper, on June 26, 2020.

■■Riliwan Ogunsola, 25, of Ashbourne Road, Derby, was fined £100 and given three points for driving at 38mph in a 30mph limit in Burton Road, Woodville, on July 13, 2020.

■■Roberto Selmin, 58, of Queen Street, Church Gresley, was fined £66 and given three points for driving above the 30mph limit in Pastures Hill, Littleover, on July 7, 2020.

■■Tibor Budo, 59, of Salisbury Street, Derby, was fined £40 and given three points for driving at 37mph in a 30mph limit in Osmaston Road, Derby, on June 11, 2020.

■■Diana Radford, 53, of Quarry Road, Morley, was fined £40 and given three points for driving at 40mph in a 30mph limit in Broadway, Duffield, on February 18.

■■Michael Smoly, 63, of Maple Grove, Derby, was fined £60 and given three penalty points for driving at 57mph in a 50mph limit on the A52, on January 6.

■■Keith Stevens, 66, of Stanley Road, Alvaston, was fined £220 and given three points for driving at 38mph in a 30mph limit in Tamworth Road, Long Eaton, on December 9, 2020.

■■Dusan Svehlik, 35, of Normanton Road, was fined £440 and given four points for driving at 41mph in a 30mph limit in Osmaston Road, Derby, on December 22, 2020.

■■Jason Walker, 36, of Lynden Avenue, Long Eaton, was fined £220 and given three points for driving at 64mph in a 50mph limit and driving without a valid licence on the A52 in Derby on January 12.

■■James Warne, 35, of Church Lane North, Derby, was fined £220 and given three points for driving at 40mph in a 30mph limit in Birchover Way, Allestree, on January 5.

■■Carl Woodland, 40, of Beech Court, Derby, was fined £107 and given three points for driving at 38mph in a 30mph limit in Ladywood Road, Kirk Hallam, on January 15.

■■Jade Adlam, 30, of Tower Drive, Derby, was fined £293 and given five points for driving at 44mph in a 30mph limit in Birchover Way, Allestree, on January 5.
