RETURN OF A CLASSIC!
THOUSANDS enjoyed a day of stunning classical music in beautiful surroundings at the Hannells Darley Park Concert.
More than 8,000 tickets were sold for the classical music festival, held in the amphitheatre in the park, from Friday to Sunday.
Featuring choirs, orchestral pieces and reworks of classic songs and film scores, the event also featured an spectacular fireworks display.
The festival, supported by Hannells Estate Agents, will return next year on Sunday August 28, with tickets already on sale.
This year’s gathering was attended by hundreds of families, with events for all ages being enjoyed in warm, dry weather.
There was even a special appearances from Derby Olympian Jess Turner, who recently competed in the 400m hurdles in Tokyo, the Mayor of Derby Robin Wood, and BBC Radio Derby presenters Andy Twigge and Donna Alos.
