Nuisance neighbour launched waste over garden wall

-

A “NUISANCE” resident has been reprimanded by police for verbally abusing neighbours and launching waste over their garden wall.

Officers from Derbyshire police’s Etwall, Hatton and Hilton Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) were called to a property in Etwall amid complaints from neighbours.

The householder was issued a community protection notice warning – but their behaviour continued as they launched household waste over their garden wall rather than using their bin.

The team issued the resident with a community protection notice (CPN), which, if breached, results in a fine and possibly a trip to court.

A spokesperson from the Etwall,

Hatton and Hilton SNT said: “An Etwall resident was issued a community protection notice warning (CPN) following reports of nuisance behaviour, verbal abuse to neighbours and failing to dispose of waste correctly.

“Before long it was evidenced that the behaviour had continued.

“Waste products being thrown over the garden wall rather than being correctly disposed of, resulting in your team issuing a Community Protection Notice (CPN) which if breached results in a fine and thereafter it is referred to court if the behaviour persists.”

Police have not identified the offender or the exact location of their home.
