High-end brands in store for Flannels at Derbion
A NEW Flannels store taking over the former 24,000 sq ft Topshop unit at Derbion is likely to welcome its first customers in December.
With a few months still to go until the Derby opening, last week’s launch of a new regional flagship Flannels store at Leicester’s Fosse Park has given city shoppers a taste of what to expect.
The 35,000 sq ft store, which opened last Thursday, offers what Flannels describes as “world-class brand edits” over three floors, with women’s and men’s clothing as well as accessories and beauty.
Customers can find clothing by luxury labels Burberry, Acne Studios and Alexander McQueen alongside a new offering from Ganni, Sporty and Rich, Rixo and Isabel Marant Étoile.
Also stocked are streetwear brands such as Off-White, Palm Angels and Scott Disick’s Talentless.
Food and drink is set to be available at the shop later this autumn. Michael Murray, Flannels’ group head of elevation, said: “Building on the momentum following our first regional flagship in Sheffield last month, we’re proud to open our next flagship store, in Leicester. “Flannels continues to disrupt and rethink retail, impressively demonstrating our vision and bringing a world-class shopping destination to another key city in the UK.” The Leicester store has an array of new fixtures and finishes. The floors are linked by a three-storey staircase with a backdrop of a 10 metre high mirror which allows for a “fluid customer journey”. Flannels now has more than 50 stores now open across the UK, including a national flagship in London’s Oxford Street.
