‘Game-changer’ drug

HUNDREDS of thousands of people are to be offered a cholesterol-lowering drug on the NHS, with estimates predicting it could save 30,000 lives within the next decade.

Inclisiran has been described as a potential “gamechanger” and it is hoped it could prevent 55,000 heart attacks and strokes, and save tens of thousands of people from an early death.
