Long trek to find suitable surgery

-

WELL, September is here and another month of two bus rides to the wound clinic at Coleman Street medical centre in Alvaston, or Revive at Chaddesden. Three hours in total of my day gone.

Because, in Mackworth, we have a surgery that would fit in the waiting room at Coleman Street, and a dentist that would fit in the one at Revive.

I recently looked again at the brochure printed to celebrate Mackworth Estate being built, back in 1948, and the brave new world promised.

Now Mackworth is expanding across our fields, with no extra facilities to support the estate.

But, hey, everyone has a car now, don’t they?

Otherwise, use the Arriva timetable, known as the flip of a coin. The councils approve developments, take away our green space, wildlife disappears, and what do we get in return? Surgeries in old houses. Thank you. Thank you so much.
