City of Culture - without comfort stops

-

THERE was a time when there were several public toilets in Derby – in Victoria Street, The Market Place and The Spot, all kept clean and fresh, sadly all now gone.

So what are people supposed to do? And it’s not just the elderly who need this facility.

Up and down the country, even in the (expensive) Cotswolds, you can find public toilets blocks open every day, charging a reasonable 20p, and with an attendant looking after them.

So why can’t Derby do this? How can we expect to be called a City of Culture when we’ve no public toilets!
