GRAND DESIGNS CELEBRITY MASTERCHEF
Channel 4, 9pm BBC1, 9pm
Kevin McCloud returns with one of the most ambitious projects yet, as a wealthy businessman, Joe tries to build a house on Dartmoor that looks more like a sculpture.
He gives architect Mick free rein to design “one of the best homes on the planet”, and the home is so complicated that Kevin can’t really see how it will be achieved. Sure enough, every step of the process is a nightmare.
But Mick and Joe press on, regardless of the rocketing costs (£20,000 a week on labour) and rising discontent among the builders.
It’s heat four, and the next group of celebrities might struggle to tell a radish from a rhubarb. There’s actress Michelle
Collins, who has only started cooking since lockdown began, ex-Love Islander Kem Cetinay, whose parents make all his meals for him, and Strictly’s Johannes Radebe, who won’t allow any of his friends to taste his food…
Luckily journalist Gavin Esler and Paralympian Kadeena Cox, inset, have a bit more experience, but neither is particularly inspired by the Under the Cloche challenge. Kadeena is eyeballed by two mackerel while poor Johannes can’t identify even his ingredients (livers and kidneys), so naturally has no idea how to cook them.
