Police pull plug on illegal Dales rave

POLICE seized a large amount of expensive DJ equipment after attending reports of a rave.

The Derbyshire Dales Response Unit attended the scene at Stanton-in-Peak, near Matlock, after receiving “numerous reports” of the illegal gathering.

As well as seizing the equipment, the officers also reported people fleeing the scene, including two on a motorbike which then crashed.

Posting on Twitter, the unit said: “Numerous reports of a rave. We attend and a motorbike with two pillions and no helmets makes off before running out of skill and crashing.”

“Once the blue lights appear, everyone runs off,” the tweet continued.

“Lots of expensive DJ kit found and recovered.”
