Man suffered facial injuries during ‘assault’

A MAN was left with facial injuries during an alleged assault in Derbyshire.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment to a fractured eye socket, cuts and bruises.

This was following an incident in Market Street, Chapel-en-le-Frith, close to Morrison’s petrol station between 10.30pm and 11pm on Friday, August 27.

A man and woman are believed to have stopped and offered to help the victim. Police are keen to speak with them, or anyone else who may have witnessed the incident.
