‘Nasty weapons’ found in suspect car
POLICE officers in the Peak District have launched an investigation after a car was found with “some nasty weapons” inside it.
The Derbyshire Dales Response Unit has published pictures of a car and an axe and hammer found inside it.
The Mercedes is understood to have been discovered by a member of the public, in Calver, early yesterday. Officers say they believe it was using “false number plates” and had allegedly been stolen from Chesterfield in July.
They also think it could have been used in burglaries across the Dales.
The Derbyshire Dales Response Unit posted about the find on Twitter. Anyone with information is being urged to call Derbyshire police on 101.
