Urgent treatment centre open again after Covid-19 outbreak

-

AN urgent treatment centre in Derbyshire has reopened after being forced to close for five days due to a Covid-19 outbreak.

The centre, at Ripley Hospital in Sandham Lane, closed last Wednesday but health bosses have confirmed it reopened yesterday.

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust took to social media yesterday afternoon to confirm the news it had reopened under its standard operating hours of 8am to 8pm daily.

A spokesperson for the trust took to Twitter just after 12.40pm to say: “Ripley Urgent Treatment Centre UTC reopened today to its normal operating hours, 8am – 8pm every day.

“To book an appointment, or for any urgent care needs, please visit: https://111.nhs.uk or call 111 to access the right advice or treatment for you.”

NHS Urgent Treatment Centres are run by highly skilled paramedics and specialist nurses for illnesses and injuries which are not life-threatening but need urgent treatment.
