JAY’S YORKSHIRE WORKSHOP
BBC2, 9pm
This heartwarming show is an absolute hit – celebrating unsung local heroes with handmade presents and big reveals.
“It’s where the joy of making and the pleasure of giving come together,” says host Jay Blades.
First to be honoured are Becky and Shelley, sisters who set up Homeless Street Angels in Leeds. Jay reveals he has also been homeless in the past and the team sets about making an angel wings sculpture.
David, a sheep farmer from the Yorkshire Dales, wants to nominate another farmer, Sam, for stepping in during lambing season while he and his wife came down with Covid. A bespoke picnic box provides a woodworking challenge.
Finally, a couple of teenage litter-pickers receive a pair of sundials.
