Store chain’s festive thanks to its workers

-

HOME Bargains customers are being informed about closures at its outlets during the festive period.

Every store will be shut on both Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, which the company says is a reward to staff for their hard work.

It will also shut at the earlier time of 5pm on Christmas Eve so staff can spend more time with friends and family. The discount store has previously shut its branches on Boxing Day in 2019 and 2020 for the same reason.

Home Bargains employs more than 22,000 staff across its 500 stores. Derby is home to three of them, with stores on Wyvern Way, the Normanton Centre and Bradshaw Retail Park.

A spokesperson said: “As a family-run business we know the importance of being together at Christmas with those we care about most, now more than ever, and this is our way of saying thank you to all of our colleagues for their continued hard work and dedication.”
