With 81-year-old actor Malcolm Hebden, right, having retired from his glorious career on the cobbles, Corrie fans now have to face a farewell to his much-loved character Norris in scenes set to play out this week.

Sally Lindsay narrates this charming tribute to Norris as he leaves the soap after 26 years.

There are interviews with co-stars past and present as well as classic moments from the archives. It also includes an honest and emotional interview with Malcolm. He recalls his first appearance was in 1974 as a love interest for Mavis – playing a Spanish man called Carlos. Fortunately Carlos didn’t last long, and Malcolm returned years later as Norris, the nosey newsagent who became an icon.
