Finals at the county ground

THE Incora County Ground will stage this season’s finals of the Mayor of Derby’s charity cricket competitions, the Butterley and Jackson cups.

Friday, September 24, is the date for both, with players likely to play at least some of the time under lights.

The Butterley Cup final, Ockbrook & Borrowash seconds v Sandiacre Town seconds, will be at 3pm, followed by the Jackson final at 6.30, with the first teams of Sandiacre and Spondon featuring in a match played in the 100 format.

Belper Independent Financial Services and Howzat cricket are main sponsors of the respective finals.

Admission is free but there will be a collection for the Mayor’s charities.
