Appeal to reunite stray dog with owner
AN APPEAL has been put out by police to trace the owner of a dog found wandering in a South Derbyshire village
The black and white dog, whose face was red and sore-looking, was found in Overseal on Friday night.
Swadlincote safer neighbourhood team described the animal as a stray and say they are keeping an open mind about how it came to be so poorly. A spokesman for the SNT said: “This dog was found as a stray in the Overseal area. It is chipped but unregistered. If anyone recognises or has information about this dog please get in touch.
“The dog is receiving medical treatment.
“We cannot say how long it has been a stray or if it has come to any harm from its owner. It could be from anywhere so keeping an open mind.”
