-

A PROLIFIC burglar who pushed one elderly victim to the floor during a raid is on the loose.

Police are searching for Michael Yeo, pictured, after he absconded from HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire, where he had been serving a six-year sentence for his crimes.

The 25-year-old had been on day release, but failed to return to the prison when required to do so by 4pm on Tuesday, September 14.

Derbyshire police have now put an appeal out to try to find the man, who has links to Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent.

Yeo was jailed in March 2019 after being found guilty of a series of burglaries in the south and east of England. He was convicted of ten counts of burglary and three counts of attempted burglary after he carried out 13 break-ins during a six-month spree between April and September 2018.

He is described as white, 5ft 10ins and of slim build, with blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who has seen him or knows where he is is asked to contact Derbyshire police quoting reference number 815 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
