Police appeal after attack

DERBYSHIRE Police are appealing for informatio­n after a drunk assaulted a dog owner who was walking his pet in Chesterfie­ld.

The incident occurred in the Town Hall Gardens at around 10.20am on August 18 and the victim was a man in his 50s.

The attacker, who punched the owner in the head and kicked his dog in the stomach, is described as being around 5ft 10ins and wearing a pair of dirty jeans, a burgundy jacket and was believed to be in his late 20s.
