SILVER GHOST PUB SEEKING NEW OWNER
IF you’re looking for a change of speed and a fresh career, or simply want to try something new, then owning a pub could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Greene King is currently looking for a new owner to lease one of its pubs in Alvaston.
The Silver Ghost, off Crayford Road and Field Drive, is searching for a new owner to run the pub that is popular with people on the residential estate.
Greene King marketed the pub as a “100 per cent wet led community site” that is “currently popular with older customers and families who are able to enjoy a drink whilst socialising with friends, playing pub games and taking part in regular events”.
They said: “The customers are loyal and the trade is good.
“The pub can build upon these foundations by introducing a simple hand held food offer, continuing to encourage community or team events and improve digital marketing.
“The site is well presented and the secondary bar area can double up as a function room.
“The future is bright for the Silver Ghost and enables a new operator to take this already great venue to new heights.”
Complete with dining areas and patio space, the annual rent of the property comes to £19,000, with a forecasted operator profit of £22,990.
Anyone interested in owning the pub will also be expected to pay certain entry costs, including the price of glassware and crockery.
The private accommodation attached to the property also consist of three bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
Sarah Adams, business development manager for Greene King, said: “I am seeking a community focused operator, with a strong customer focus.
“I would welcome applications from the right first time operator.
“The pub is well regarded by the locals and is popular in the community, which offers a strong foundation to build upon.”
The future is bright for the Silver Ghost and enables a new operator to take this already great venue to new heights.
