YOUR POEMS

-

Ghost Viv Wigley

I don’t have any photographs I’ve lost the ones I had, but she said hanging onto them would make her feel so bad. Your face a distant memory, frozen back in time, clothes and hair styled for the day, a face that’s free from lines. Eyes sparkle, and a giggle full of hopes for things to come, a funny phrase, an inside joke that would be lost on some.

But things went wrong, and that was me, regret the biggest cost, the things I gained are all outweighed by everything I lost.

Some things can bring you back again, a song we loved that’s played,

I often wonder how you are, the choices that you’ve made. The pictures in my mind fading, in time will soon be gone, but what we had and what we werethat spark will linger on.
