Fans cheer Adam and Katya to make a splash on Strictly
OLYMPIC swimmer Adam Peaty has revealed his strategy to win Strictly Come Dancing.
The episode that opened this season on Saturday night saw him meeting his partner Katya Jones at – surprise – a pool.
He vowed to “go again, go again, go again” as he aims to make Derby proud.
And so far, he seems to be loved by Strictly fans. Linsey Low said on Twitter: “Strictly loving Katia and Adam.”
Another fan added: “In love with Adam Peaty.”
One Twitter user added: “That body on Adam Peaty! Wowzers!” The swimmer, who hails from Uttoxeter and started his career at the City of Derby Swimming Club, signed up for Strictly following his heroics in Tokyo over the summer. The talented Brit currently holds the world record for the 100m breaststroke, the event which saw him win gold in Tokyo over the summer.
He also competes in the 50 metre breaststroke and the medley relay.
