JIMMY TARBUCK OBE
Comedian Jimmy Tarbuck OBE has been working the stand-up comedy circuit for over 50 years, having started his career as a TV entertainer in the 1960s.
Famed for his distinctive comedy style, he grew up in Liverpool as a schoolmate of John Lennon and made his first TV appearance as the host of It’s Tarbuck 65! before going on to host quiz shows including Winner Takes All, Full Swing and Tarby’s Frame Game.
Focusing on stand-up comedy, Jimmy has since hosted a number of variety and comedy shows including Live From Her Majesty’s and Live at the Palladium.
In 1994, he was awarded an OBE for his services as a comedian but also for his charitable contributions. Nowadays, he continues to appear on television as a comedian and entertainer.
