Visitors urged to take part in town survey

-

VISITORS to a Derbyshire town are being urged to take part in a survey to find out how beneficial this month’s free parking concession has been to businesses in the town.

Derbyshire Dales District Council has offered free parking in all its car parks after 2pm, in a bid to help traders recover from the coronavirus pandemic.

Ashbourne Town Team, the group of volunteers that successfully lobbied for the concession, wants to gather in at least 1,000 responses from traders, visitors, shoppers and residents, to find out what impact free parking has on the high street.

The team has created a QR code, which can be scanned with a smartphone to take users straight to the short survey, which asks a handful of questions.

So far more than 300 people have visited.
