Touching tributes left for the four victims

-

TRIBUTES to the four people killed in the incident in Chandos Crescent, Killamarsh, continue to line the top of the road.

Even days on from the discovery of the bodies of 35-year old Terri Harris along with her daughter Lacey Bennett, 11, her son John Paul Bennett, 13, and Lacey’s friend Connie Gent, 11, the number of flowers, teddy bears, candles and balloons grows by the hour.

Tributes have also continued to pour in from across the community and even further afield – one of the wreaths of flowers is from West Ham United Football Club.

In Killamarsh the outpouring of emotion has been evident even as the days go on; people were still breaking down in tears as they approached the flowers, which have now grown to cover the entire corner of Chandos Crescent. “Thinking of you all at this sad time. No words can express what you must be feeling.” said one card on flowers from a local shopping centre, Crystal Peaks Market. Another note simply says: “Fly high little angels, Lacey, John, Connie and Terri.”

While another addressed to Connie Gent, who was at the house on a sleepover, said: “To Connie, I can’t believe you’re gone, it doesn’t seem real. You made us all so so proud of you, we love you millions. “Fly high, gorgeous, you was all taken far too soon and we are all devastated, fly high angels.”
