Hockley second but top

COLIN Hockley is the championship leader going into the final round of the Rolls-Royce Alum Foundry AC season but he was second best in the latest match.

The penultimate contest was staged on the Lily Lake at Longford Fishery and Dean Ryan (pictured) won with 62lb 15oz after fishing bread.

Hockley was second with 60lb 3oz at peg 12, while Rob Smith was third with 52lb 14oz at peg seven.

With one match to go, Hockley is top of the standings with 46 points, with Tony Edwards second on 63.
