HGV tyres torched in suspected arson attack
CREWS put out a fire in Colliery Road, Creswell, that caused damage to seven large HGV tyres on Wednesday.
It is believed the fire was started deliberately and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service have notified police of the incident.
Firefighters attended the blaze at 10:15pm and used one hose reel jet, as well as thermal imaging camera and lighting.
A post on the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service Twitter account said: “2215hrs #WorksopStn08 attended reports of a fire in the open on Colliery Road, #Creswell.
“This was 7 large HGV tyres damaged by fire. Crews used 1 hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and lighting.
“Police were informed as this was believed to be deliberate.”
