Covid being used as excuse for failure

MEL Morris made me laugh when he said Covid 19 had a lot to do with the situation at Derby County. But it was clearly in a bad place before the pandemic. I see many other clubs are OK despite the pandemic. Have clubs all not been hit equally hard by having to exclude fans from stadia? A lot of these clubs have been and are less well off even than Derby. And they have survived.
