Air medics help motorcycli­st hurt in crash

A THREE-vehicle weekend crash in a Derbyshire town left one man injured.

The crash happened at around 1.15pm on Sunday on Snake Road in Glossop. Air ambulance medics assisted Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and Derbyshire police at the scene.

A spokespers­on for Derbyshire police said: “The force was called to a collision between a Yamaha motorcycle, a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Focus. The motorcycle rider, a 56-old-man, was left with a broken wrist.” Inquiries are ongoing.

A spokespers­on confirmed the North West Air Ambulance Charity was called out but had no further details regarding the outcome.
