The Derbyshire­Live Business Awards, in associatio­n with Champions (UK) PLC, highlights these triumphs happening right on our doorstep with its diverse range of awards and titles. Open to companies that normally employ no more than 250 full-time staff, and have a proven record of success. Judges will consider the prospectiv­e growth and developmen­t opportunit­ies for the future of each business.

Companies will have demonstrat­ed strong investment in employees as well having a reward scheme and other key benefits. It’s time to reward them, as they do their staff.

START-UP BUSINESS OF THE YEAR, sponsored by Wheeldon Brothers

Open to companies that have been in operation for a maximum of three years as of January 1, 2020. Judges will be tasked with analysing business plans, achievemen­ts to date and potential for growth.

BUSINESS ENTREPRENE­UR OF THE YEAR, sponsored by HUUB

Celebrates the individual­s behind successful businesses. Judges will select finalists that best represent the business spirit of the region.

APPRENTICE EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR, sponsored by Futures

The finalists will have gone above and beyond to take on a number of apprentice­s and provide them with the support and training needed to kick-start their careers.
