Draw maintains unbeaten starts for Premier pair

FC SUNNYHILL and Mayfield continued their unbeaten start to the Mel Williams Premier Division campaign in a 1-1 draw.

Ryan Austin was on target for third-placed Mayfield, while Tom Sheffield scored for Sunnyhill.

Second-placed Allenton United are the only other team yet to lose after they took a 2-1 victory over Tibshelf, thanks to goals from Kai Hamilton and Lavern Brandy. Aaron Turner replied.

Michael Chapman, Finlay Pass, Olive Rathband and William Price fired Sleetmoor United to a 4-1 success at home to Cromford & Wirksworth Town Reserves.

Aaron Taylor netted for the visitors.

Drayton PACS Division One leaders Newhall United made it four wins out of four with a resounding 6-1 success away to Aston Village.

Callum Riddell (2), Brandon Edwards, Kyle Clamp, Ryan Clemson and Aaron Whetton (pen) got the goals for United. A Niall Worrall penalty provided a consolatio­n for the hosts.

Mickleover Athletic have a 100 per cent record after three games, as an Alex Lawrence hat-trick inspired them to an emphatic 9-2 win over Bargate Rovers.

Callum Horton (2), Michael Tristram (2), Jack Griffiths and Jamie Laird also scored for Athletic, while Rob Rathbone and Jason West replied for Rovers.

Acorn United registered their first three points of the season as they got the better of Burton United 4-2.

Albion made a fast start, with Ben Cuthbert opening the scoring inside the first minute and it was 2-0 five minutes later when Charlie Wood netted.

United struck back to level with a Brad Wright double but Callus Burch nosed Albion back in front in the 71st minute and struck again eight minutes from time to seal it.

Sean Carter, Zachary Harrison and Matt King were on target in Willington’s 3-1 win away to Little Eaton Reserves, while Joshua Beeston (2) and Freddie Southey guided Hilton Harriers Reserves to a 3-1 success over Sherwin.

Real Medina moved to the top of the Drayton PACS Division Two table with a comfortabl­e 7-2 victory over previous leaders Newhall United Reserves.

Josh Johnson (2), Ben Holder (2), Mike Wilson, Aaron Pritchard-Fern and Murtaza Haidary got the goals for Medina. Dan Worthingto­n and Dylan Burke netted for Newhall.

Castle Donington Reserves remain without a point following their 2-1 defeat to Holbrook St Michaels Developmen­t.

Jordan Stanley-Smith and Tommy Thompson were on the scoresheet for Holbrook, Ben Wallace for Donington.

Willington Reserves edged out Bakewell Town Developmen­t 3-2, while Punjab United enjoyed a 3-1 success over Inter Belper, thanks to goals from Ryan Chahal, Charlie Cotton and Ranveer Pangulier.
