New apartments planned for wasteland

-

PLANNERS have been asked to rule on a proposal that would see four apartments built on a piece of Derbyshire wasteland.

The potential development would be set on land in St Johns Road in Newbold, Chesterfield, and sit between two sets of townhouses.

The apartments, if planning permission is granted, would also back on a number of other properties which have access to St Johns Road via a track down the side of the land.

According to the plans submitted to Chesterfield Borough Council, the four apartments would consist of two bedrooms, a joint kitchen and lounge area and a bedroom on either side of a bathroom.

Apartments one and two would also have access to an outdoor area at the back of the property.

Four car parking bays would also be created using the access road already in place for the houses at the back of the planned development.

A decision on if the development can go-ahead or not is expected in November.
