RAMS RATINGS

-

RYAN ALLSOP 7

Kept his place in the side despite Kelle Roos being back from a one-match ban. Made a smart save early on in the first half from Korey Smith. Not over-stretched but a sound all-round display. Keeping is not just about making saves.

NATHAN BYRNE 6

Pinned back for much of the opening 45 minutes and stuck to his defensive task. Kept battling but picked up another yellow card.

RICHARD STEARMAN 7

Second consecutive start, playing instead of the injured Phil Jagielka, and the defender had a good 38 minutes before he limped off. One challenge in the box on Joel Piroe was crucial.

CURTIS DAVIES 7

Defended solidly throughout, playing his part in a second consecutive clean sheet.

CRAIG FORSYTH 7

Had little chance to get forward in the first half as he did against Reading because Swansea were on top. Moved across to centreback when Richard Stearman went off. Terrific block to deny Joel Latibeaudiere. Gave his all again in a determined display.

MAX BIRD 6

Derby had only 24% possession during the game, so we did not see him on the ball as much as usual but he dug in alongside midfield partner Graeme Shinnie.

GRAEME SHINNIE 6

Competed as usual but was chasing much of the time in the opening 45 minutes as the visitors played most of the football. Dug in during the second half.

JASON KNIGHT 7

Quiet for much of the first half but one storming run almost carved out a chance. Full of energy and tireless running in the second half, although he took too long with a chance that dropped his way.

RAVEL MORRISON 4

Quiet in the first half, never got on the ball enough, replaced for the second half. Tactical decision, the manager said afterwards.

TOM LAWRENCE 5

Was quitet until denied three times by former Rams keeper Ben Hamer in a matter of seconds early in the second half.

JACK STRETTON 6

First league start for the Rams, worked hard in the first half but could not get into the game as an attacking threat as Swansea bossed possession (70% in the opening 45 minutes). Worked his socks off for 60-odd minutes.

SUBSTITUTES:

LEE BUCHANAN (FOR STEARMAN, 39) 6 DYLAN WILLIAMS (FOR MORRISON, 46) 6

FESTY EBOSELE (FOR STRETTON, 64) 5

Filled in as an emergency striker, not easy for the youngster.
